Why us?

While there are certainly common features between solicitors, there are usually important differences too and these can have a profound effect not only on the outcome of a professional negligence claim, but also on your experience of it.

Some of the reasons why you may choose to instruct us are:

Our exclusivity

We are true specialists in our field. We do not ‘dabble’ in professional negligence claims as part of a general litigation or dispute resolution practice. Nor do we undertake personal injury or medical malpractice claims.

Our insight

Historically we have acted for many of the UK’s leading professional indemnity insurers. This provides us with a rare insight into the way in which professional negligence claims are defended, enabling us to resolve claims for our clients more quickly and more efficiently.

Our experience

We have over 15 years continuous experience of dealing exclusively with professional negligence claims. In that time, we have dealt with claims against a wide range of professionals, ranging in value from tens of thousands of pounds to in excess of £32 million.

Our objectivity

We not only act for claimants, but uninsured defendants too. This provides us with a broader and more balanced appreciation of the issues that arise in professional negligence claims, making us more effective at resolving those claims for our clients.

Our model

The service we provide to our clients is an attentive and collaborative one. We are not an industrial practice, reliant on call centres and teams of inexperienced junior lawyers and paralegals. Nor do we undertake group litigation.

Our structure

All our cases are managed at partner level. This means that our clients receive the very best advice, from start to finish. It also means that our clients receive continuity of service through an experienced solicitor and are not passed from pillar to post.

Our consultants

We have direct access to a large number of highly experienced solicitors who are able to provide legal advice in other specialist areas of law. This means not only are we well placed to assess claims, we are also well placed to advise on ways in which to mitigate the losses that give rise to them.

Our coverage

We act for clients nationwide, using a variety of methods to communicate efficiently and effectively. Where face-to-face meetings are required, we can provide meetings rooms in a number of city locations across the UK. Alternatively, where it is more convenient to our clients, we can make arrangements elsewhere.

We have experience of resolving claims against a wide range of professionals.
